Assisted Living Innovation Platform 2010 Showcase Event
Mainstreaming Assistive Technology for Users, Families and Carers
This showcase will share the latest results of cutting edge R&D into the next generation of telecare and telehealth services. With world class speakers and bespoke networking sessions, we will investigate how best to support users and their families together with health & social care professionals as we take Assisted Living mainstream.
The Technology Strategy Board launched the Assisted Living Innovation Platform (ALIP) in November 2007, with additional funding from the DoH's National Institute for Health Research, the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council, and the Economic and Social Research Councils. This joint investment with these organisations and industry will address the challenge of assisted living.
The ALIP is delivering a wide ranging programme to enable the ageing population and those with long-term health conditions to live with greater independence.
